The Status of Salmon in Vashon Creeks

Salmon watching season is nearly upon us! Join the Vashon Nature Center for "The Status of Salmon in Vashon Creeks", right here at the Land Trust building.
Vashon Nature Center staff will give a presentation on the status of salmon in island creeks, building upon community-collected data from a variety of salmon-centered research projects since 2016. This 45-minute talk will be followed by questions and then a 30- minute training session for those interested in volunteering with the SalmonWatchers program. SalmonWatchers monitor creeks once or twice a week, documenting the presence of salmon from October 1st to December 31st. If you do not want to volunteer to be a SalmonWatcher you are welcome to join for the public talk and then leave after the question and answer period.

This training session is mandatory for new Salmonwatcher volunteers!
