Forest Stewardship Classes

2012 Forest Stewardship Class Series – passed

Wednesdays, October 3 through November 28, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Land Trust Building. Offered by King County and Washington State University Extension, and sponsored by the Vashon-Maury Island Land Trust and the Vashon Forest Stewards.

Discover the many ways you can meet your personal ownership goals with our training and technical assistance for forest landowners and those who live in or near forests. This flagship 10-session course teaches forest landowners how to prepare their own forest stewardship plan with guidance from natural resource professionals who will show how to keep your forestlands healthy and productive, and attract more wildlife. By the end of the class, you will have completed a forest stewardship plan for your property, which can qualify you for property tax reductions and cost share assistance.

The cost is $160 before September 1, or $185 beginning September 1. For more information, visit the WSU website or contact Kevin Zobrist at kzobrist@wsu.edu or 425-357-6017.
